I am very happy to say that I am one of this year’s recipients of a “Visions From the New California” award. The other artists who received this year’s award are: Asad Faulwell, Joanne Hashitani, Crystal Am Nelson, Anja Ulfeldt and Andre Woodward.

Visions from the New California celebrates, supports, and promotes the work of outstanding California visual artists from diverse communities – artists whose work may still be unfamiliar but whose compelling visions will define California in its next decades.

With the award came a one month residency at the Kala Art Institute and a very nice stipend. This award is possible due to the Alliance of Artist Communities and the James Irvine Foundation. Thank You!
